Miriam Kramer

An Awkward Poet Living In New Jersey


Miriam Kramer is a queer, Jewish poet residing in New Jersey with her partner, daughter, and two cats. She majored in Creative Writing at Pacific University and currently works at an educational nonprofit. She was the winner of the 2023 Jack McCarthy Book Prize. Miriam loves stick figure drawings, bright sneakers, and embroidery. Her poetry has appeared in Variant Literature, So to Speak Journal, FreezeRay Poetry, and others. She is the author of three chapbooks prior to her debut full length collection, Built by Storms, with Write Bloody Publishing. Built by Storms was nominated for The Lambda Literary Prize and The New Writers Award, Great lakes College Association.
